Now that you’ve heard from the people I’ve worked with (and for), here are some other things to know about working with me…
I am fair and values-based
I work hard to explore every side of an issue, balance all considerations, and ultimately, set your organization up for success. I’m not afraid to take a tough stance and encourage others to take accountability (but in a very supportive way). I won’t always tell you what you want to hear, but I will tell you what you need to hear.
I believe in confidentiality
My report will provide as much detail as is necessary to explain why I came to the findings I did. All documentation, notes and copies of evidence surfaced through the investigation will be securely archived and maintained in confidence by me for up to three years, unless I am required to retain them for longer.
I believe in transparency
Being open and clear with all parties about my role and my process is integral to what I do. I will be in contact with you through every step of the investigation process. No surprises. I also ask for transparency from my clients: If you aren’t happy with how the process is unfolding, don’t let it build and fester - let’s have a conversation.
I am relationship-centred
Building relationships with the people involved gives me the emotional currency I need to ask tough questions and have difficult conversations. That means I don’t “interrogate” the parties; I conduct each investigation with compassion and professionalism while maintaining impartiality.
Well, that’s me. What else do you need to know? Hmmm… I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, I’m at my best when caffeinated and I love pizza with a passion.
Should we work together?
✨ Do you value empathy and compassion, and run your business with a balance of head and heart considerations?
✨ Are you committed to doing the right thing, even when it’s not the easy thing?
✨ Do you have leadership that is committed to respecting the outcome and who will consider implementing some (or all) of the recommendations?
✨ Are you willing to let me ‘do my thing’ and not try to influence the outcome or impact the integrity of the investigation?
✨ Are you ready to hear honest, constructive feedback (even if it stings a bit)?
If you answered “yes!” to all of the above, let’s chat.

“Saira’s approach in this work is a great strength of hers. The ability to be kind and to acknowledge that going through this process can be difficult, and at the same time to be able to ask very difficult questions of individuals, is a great skill and was very helpful in this situation. People did not feel like they were in trouble, but rather they understood they were playing an important role in dealing with a serious matter. Saira’s approach is very impressive.”
